Dorothy Appiah- Asare is fashion designer with over 8 years experience specializing in the design and production of millinery. Dorothy has excellent creativity and vision with an ample understanding of complex spatial reasoning and three-dimensional design. She has expertise in analysing fabric, trims and colours, as well as being up to date with the latest fashion trends.   Dorothy has passion and keen eye for designs; she has designed and created hats, fascinators and other accessories for exclusive high-end businesses and designer fashion houses (Papa Oppong and Tutuwaa clothing, Kofi Owusu fashion house etc), worked and created individual creations for a one-off event or production including an international fashion show under the UN’s Ethical Fashion Initiative in Milan, Italy. (IED MODA 2014). Whiles working for GTP, She performed several roles including Laying of prepared patterns on piled fabric for cutting of garments in different sizes, Sewing of garments in different sizes, Appling a finish technique by netting to prevent the garment from fraying, Tagging of products for easy identification, Packaging of finished product. With her experience as a Milliner, She pays exceptional attention to details, very fluent in technical jargons and has excellent communication skills, Customer/Client Oriented, have very good analytical and problem-solving skills, focused, professional and passionate about her work She holds B.A in Fashion Design from Radford University College (October 2011-June 2015), and a West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificate from Ghana National College. Emerald Vanderpuye-Orgle

Fashion Illustration

Emerald Vanderpuye-Orgle is a fashion illustrator with over 8 years experience in fashion illustration and teaching. As a fashion illustrator Emerald has worked and created accurate images using ideas, representing a diverse range of products, she has worked closely with fashion designers and art directors to produce artistic, unique and creative visual images with the aid of traditional and digital media. Emerald has the experience in teaching students how to create designs for garments, shoes, fashion accessories, and other apparels with the use of imaging software programs like Photoshop and Illustrator.   She has taught as a fashion illustrator with Ruck Fashion and Elike Fashion Institute over the past 3 years, she has coach students to sketch drawings using various mediums including paint, charcoals, coloured pencils, and computer software programs, produce drawings and layouts that has been used in catalogues, magazines, brochures, flyers, commercials and other advertising media.   She has successfully created and managed the EVANO brand, which as part of it portfolio has; develop fabric patterns and designs, which are used for manufacturing garments and wardrobes.  Currently, the EVANO brand has created a new niche for the Ghanaian fashion market with suitable fabrics for workingwomen and related tailored garments for comfortable fit. Emerald holds a Bachelor degree in Fashion and Design from Radford University College, Ghana and a Senior High School Certificate (WAEC) from Anum Presbyterian Senior High.        

Augustine Maris Oluwasequn

Machine Techniques

Augustine Maris is a fashion designer with over 8years experience in   Machine Techniques training and designing and producing of clothing. He has taught both in Ghana and Nigeria in machine techniques and tailoring, He has successfully introduce students to the machine by teaching them the different parts of machine and how to use it properly, the maintenance and dangers associated with it how to operate or tend the sewing machine to perform garment sewing operations, such as joining, reinforcing, or decorating garments or garment parts in Wendy Trendy Fashion and Katagioh Fashion  in Nigeria and Afra-K fashion in Ghana. He has managed the Markins fashion brand for the past 3 yrs. As part of his portfolio he has designed and produce clothing for the Dangote group in Nigeria. Maris hold a diploma certificate in fashion design from Lux Lucet Fashion Collage in Nigeria
