Why Choose Us

At Okurufi Fashion Training Center, student begin by learning basic fashion skills and build in-depth knowledge in various pattern-cutting techniques. Students learn body measurements and simple constructions as they progress to more complicated garments including dresses, shirts, jackets, coats, pants and overalls. By the end of the one-year program, students will have gained all the required knowledge to deal with any kind of garments. Students will be well prepared for a career in the technical area of fashion. Through practical demonstrations and hands on experience, students will learn how pattern pieces are shaped to create a fitted garment, and how to lay out patterns ready to cut out and make up a garment with your new found sewing skills.

At the end of the program students will partake in a practical examination, and project on what has been taught and a compulsory three months internship with a renowned fashion institution/designer

Our Teaching Facilities

Serene Classes

The lecture and machine room is fully air conditioned in a serene atmosphere. In the lecture room students sit on stuff swiveled chair to help for easy movement and turning during classes. Our class rooms is also equipped with modern tables for Pattern drafting, Garment Construction, Beading, etc. Within the classroom, we also have access to a smart digital TV set which gives 3D image for power point presentation during lectures and an access to a digital TV (DSTV) which allows the students to watch current fashion trend and shows across the world.

Security

The school is located at a splash Regimanuel estate community 19, Lashibi a gated community with security check point at the entrance and constant patrol within the community.

Current Equipment Inventory

We have 25 industrial sewing machine and 3 knitting machines, a smart 3D projecting TV set, wireless internet connectivity to help students access information and research, modern tables in the lecture room, a library and personal lockers for the students to keep their tools after school.

Internet Facility

The school has wireless internet connectivity to help the students access information and undertake research for their projects.
